Saint Alban's Listening Skills Course
Saint Alban's is presenting another course for for anyone that would like to attend.
When: Sundays, Oct 1st, 8th, 15th, and Oct 29th
11:00 am - 11:45 am
Saint Alban's Church Hall

What is the course about?
We often find ourselves in a situation where we seek someone to listen to us, to be focussed on us; someone who is fully present for us, talking seriiously who we are and acknowledging how we are. We are unlikely to need advice, or an opinion, or help. Conversely, we often hear (or do not hear) others calling for us to listen to their "cry for help".

It's all about listening
■ An art whereby one person is fully present for another
■ A human response which is the first building block for pastoral care, and any counselling method
■ A loving response practised by Jesus.
This course is being offered to help us be better listeners, better able to give pastoral care, and enriching our communal being.
The course is being offered to both the 9:30am Mass and members of Anugrag congregation

Please add your name to the list in church, or ring Fr. Michael John on 9633-506

Matthew the Apostle  also known as Saint Matthew and as Levi) was, according to the Christian Bible, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and, according to Christian tradition, one of the four Evangelists.
The New Testament records that as a disciple, he followed Jesus, and was one of the witnesses of the Resurrection and the Ascension of Jesus. Afterwards, the disciples withdrew to an upper room (Acts 1:10–14) (traditionally the Cenacle) in Jerusalem. The disciples remained in and about Jerusalem and proclaimed that Jesus was the promised Messiah.
